In The Beginning,

Mia found herself in the wilderness, confused and anxious. Lost and misguided, darkness surrounded her. But the overwhelming reckless love of God was already on it's way.

Hi, my name is Mia Sharyn Cox. I found myself wandering in the wilderness thirsty and hungry. The kind of thirst and hunger that ignites a transformation.

Welcome to my wilderness. Here is what I'm learning during my self-discovery journey:

1. Patience is a virtue.

Without patience there is a lack of awareness. It is easy to miss the mark.

2. Focus is vital.

Without focus distraction will be your downfall.

3. Awareness is perspective.

Awareness of self, awareness of the enemies tactics, and awareness of the spirit.

The wilderness is known to be a place for intense experiences which ultimately matures ones-self. Your personal journey depends on your state of mind. Finding security in your faith is knowing that the same God who created the garden also created the wilderness. Whether it’s financial, material, physical, spiritual, or emotional burdens, we find peace, joy, and balance in the presence of God.

Personally, I sought wisdom from books, wise elders, and teachers of the word which encouraged me to invest my time and energy in things that matter. I found myself slowly isolating from places I used to go to and things I used to do. Once I removed myself, there was now room for healthy relationships and community.

In order to channel and challenge your belief system it’s important to seek wisdom, stray from anything that doesn’t feed your faith, and surround yourself with quality people. During your journey, you may experience isolation and loneliness. But don’t you worry, God is with you so you are in good company.

Yours Truly,

Queen of the Wilderness
